What is
kid connexion?
Kid Connexion is a place on Sunday mornings where we offer a safe environment for fun, age-appropriate learning about God! Our goal is to grow children into faithful followers of Jesus Christ who know God’s Word, have a personal relationship with Jesus, and are engaged in His mission in the world.
NEW HERE?
You can expect a safe, clean, loving environment for your kids at Connexion Church! Our children's programs are designed for children from infants through 5th grade. Both our nurseries and school-age classes are located downstairs. Our volunteers are screened with background checks for your safety.
Here are some procedures we have to ensure a secure environment:
- Please discuss any specific instructions for your child with the teacher. Instructions can pertain to food allergies, needs such as a bottle or a nap during the service, potty training or any other details on caring for you child. Your willingness to do this during the drop-off process will allow our volunteers to better serve you and your child.
- A snack may be served in the nursery and classrooms during the 10:30 service. If your child requires a different snack for any reason, or if you do not want them to have a snack, please let the classroom volunteer know.
- Using one of the Check-In kiosks, located downstairs, you will enroll your child into class for the day. You will place the name tag on your child and save the pickup tag to show the volunteers at the end of service. Children will only be released to parents or guardians that have a child pickup tag. Only the person with the matching pickup tag may take the child from his or her room.
- Drop off for school-aged children is in the Youth Room. Pickup for school-aged children will be at their appropriate classrooms. Nursery aged children will be dropped off and picked up at their age appropriate rooms.
Babies and toddlers
Kid Connexion offers multiple options for our younger kids so they can be safe and have fun during our 10:30 worship service:
INFANT NURSERY: Located in the Nursery Wing downstairs, this room is designed for small babies. We offer many infant amenities like swings, bassinets, jumpers, and changing tables to meet your child's needs. This room is for babies from birth through walking.
TODDLER ROOM: This room is one of our largest classrooms downstairs in the Nursery Wing to ensure lots of play space and movement for our toddlers. The classroom is equipped with many fun age-appropriate toddler toys.
PRE-K CLASSROOM: For this active age, we’ve provided a room with multiple attractions to keep your child engaged with other children while still providing plenty of space for physical movement. We use the Frolic Preschool Curriculum that covers major Bible stories from the Old and New Testament over two years. There is a Frolic Preschool Bible that you can use to read the same stories at home.
SUNDAY MORNINGS
@ KID CONNEXION
Our Kid Connexion classrooms are for Kindergarten-5th grade students to learn more about Jesus and grow into faithful followers of Jesus.
All children ages kindergarten through 5th grade begin in our Youth Room. Here we start our morning service with worship and Bible story using the Biggest Story Curriculum. This is an opportunity for the kids to engage across grade levels. After our worship and story, small groups are dismissed to their classrooms, which is where parents will pick up their child. Small groups provide an opportunity to dig deeper, develop friendships, and engage with familiar adult volunteers.
ABOUT THE CURRICULUM: The Biggest Story Curriculum covers major Bible stories from the Old and New Testament over two years. This curriculum draws kids into Scripture and helps them grasp its overarching message of redemption. Accompanying kids’ Bible you can use at home: The Biggest Story Bible. There are also videos, a podcast, and more resources at http://thebiggeststory.com/

MISSION & VALUES
The Mission of Kid Connexion is to assist in growing children into faithful followers of Jesus Christ.
We commit to:
Providing a welcoming and safe place for children and families, recognizing their significance in the church body.
Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. -Psalm 127:3 (NIV)
Providing space for children to know God and engage in worship, prayer, and teaching of scripture.
Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. -Colossians 3:16 (NIV)
Helping children grow in their personal relationship with Jesus and the fruits of the Spirit in their lives.
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. -Ephesians 1:13-14 (NIV)
Nurturing life-giving friendship with other children and discipleship relationships with adults
Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well. -1 Thessalonians 2:8 (NIV)
Helping children grow to be on mission with God in everyday life
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. -Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
Equipping families so they can continue to disciple their children at home
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. . -Deuteronomy 6:5-7 (NIV)
